There is a new electronic process (below) to get clearance for AA Denver Jail meetings. Lucky for us this process is slick and fast. The form asks some questions you may not have the answers to off the top of your head. See the information below to help you out.
Please find the link here at the Facility Access Clearances webpage on the DSD website.
Locate “Programs & Social Agency Representatives” and click the “+” sign to expand the section.
Click the blue button under the tab that corresponds with your request.
Complete the form after clicking the blue button.
Under Reason for your request, please select “Working with/representative of Programs/social agency” to ensure the request is routed to me for approval.

Once cleared via background check you will be asked to select a New Employee Orientation (NEO) training date.
You will be contacted by an AA Corrections Volunteer to review the next steps
Training is held IN PERSON on TUESDAYS at 5440 Roslyn St Denver, CO 80216. This is a 6-7 hour training.
You are notified of your approval status to participate in a meeting inside.
Then we match you with a current volunteer as well as review dress code and decorum for your first few meeting inside.
To assure your continued qualification Denver requires a background check every year. This involves sending in the application form and a copy of your Driver’s License in your 11th month of clearance. Every two years a new NEO training is required.
